Web Space
HelioHost provides 500MB of web space for each hosting account. The combined size of your files and databases is 500 megabytes. You should have 500 gigabytes to manage any blog, forum or script that you may need. Photo galleries that use high-megapixel photos or sites with online storage may encounter issues with this limit. This limit shouldn't be an issue for the vast majority of users who use free hosting.
File Management
HelioHost provides three file management options: WebDAV access, FTP, and an advanced File Manager integrated into your control panel. Each user can create unlimited FTP accounts. FTP accounts are not a burden to our servers so we don't see any reason for restricting them. The File Manager features syntax highlighting, code editing and many other useful features.
Bandwidth
HelioHost doesn't meter bandwidth usage. It is essentially unlimited bandwidth. Please note, however, that you may push traffic to the limits of what we can meter.
Hardware
HelioHost, the only host that is completely free to use, has its own hardware. HelioHost owns Stevie our dedicated server. This is unlike most hosts who rent servers. L.I.S. generously offered to host Stevie. We are pleased to be able host Stevie at Hurricane Electric in Fremont thanks to colocation. Hurricane Electric ranks number 1 in datacenter reliability and is among the top 10 facilities for bandwidth connectivity. Stevie, a rackmount quad-core server has eight gigabytes RAM and an entire Terabyte of storage space.

Apache is the web's most used server software. The Apache web server software is used by around 60% of all web sites. It is a powerful and reliable solution to web hosting.
